Ghana coach Appiah swerves media with surprising squad to face Zambia

Ghana coach swerves media with surprising squad to face Zambia Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah pulled a massive swerve on a section of the local media who had consistently published squads claiming to be the Black Stars team to face Zambia.

A section of the media had persistently published various squads claiming to be the Black Stars list to face the Chipolopolo but it has now emerged that ALL were utterly wrong.

ESSIEN’s addition to the squad clearly exposed all the news released of the Black Stars squad ahead of the crucial Zambia match.

And such has been the hallmark of coach Appiah since he took over as the media has failed to correctly predict his squad ahead of time.

While it was clear to predict the presence of some key players who have been instrumental in the team, the media used that as their base for the squads.

Players like Fatau Dauda, Adam Kwarasey, Daniel Opare, Jonathan Mensah, John Boye, Kwadwo Asamoah, Mubarak Wakaso and Asamoah Gyan are always easy to predict in a Ghana squad.

With the likes of Kevin-Prince Boateng and Andre Ayew returning it was always easy to include them in the squad to because of their performances.

However, the naming of Michael Essien in the squad has hugely exposed all the squads published as guesswork which has failed several times in the past.

The absence of Lee Addy and Baba Rahman, who had been hugely speculated to be among the players for the match in Kumasi, also showed that the media had no clue.

The presence of Richard Kissi Boateng, who had been widely speculated to be ineligible for the match, also showed that the media fooled all of us.
