Hearts training at the ATTC
Accra Hearts of Oak have resumed training at the Accra Technical Training College Park after bringing an end to the one-week residential camping exercise at the plush Lizzy Sports Complex.
In line with the pre-season activities of the Club for the upcoming season, the team sojourned at the Lizzy Sports Complex for one-week where the technical team assessed the new players, fine-tuned the old squad, and mapped out strategic plans for the 2013/14 league season.
The players began training at the ATTC Park yesterday and they will continue with the pre-season exercises at the Kokomlemle venue for the remainder of the exercise.
Hearts will play in three “friendly”games with yet to be confirmed opponents on the 1st, 4th and 8th of September, 2013. Head Coach David Duncan brought the team to the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday for an open training session where the team played two internal games.
In the first game, a majority of the first team players were pitched against the new players (Auroras team) with the first team winning 3-1 in the second half courtesy of a neat header from Stephen Tetteh, a thunderous strike from 25-yards from the exciting Winful Cobbinah and a clinical finish from the foot of Romeo Agban.
The Auroras team reduced the deficit through young striker Kenneth Okoro’s sumptuous finish in the box. Winful Cobbinah scored the only goal of the second game.
