I DECLARE GHANA AS THE 1ST AFRICAN COUNTRY FOR BRAZIL 2014 – HON. JOSEPH YAMIN

The deputy sports minister for the republic of Ghana, Hon. Joseph Yamin declared yesterday at the BabaYara sports stadium after the Black stars of Ghana dismantled the pharaohs of Egypt by 6goals to 1 that Ghana is the 1st African country to qualify for the Brazil 2014 FIFA World cup.

“If the Ivorian press is stating that the elephant of Cote d’ivoire is the 1st African country to make it to Brazil after beating Senegal by 3goals to 1, then Ghana should be the 1st African country because 6goals to 1 is more convincing than the Abidjan score line” says the Honorable minister.

The deputy sports minister added, ” In fact the score line shows clearly that, Ghana is almost through to the 2014 FIFA World cup to be played next year June, the boys were determined and the whole nation was solidly behind them and the motivational level too was high, so those in particular brought that massive victory to the nation”

Hon. Joseph Yamin also congratulated Coach Akwasi Appiah on qualifying the team to the FIFA World cup. “I think coach Appiah has justified and no more critics, Ghana will be the 1st African country to win the FIFA World cup”.
