Kyle Walker has backed team-mate Emmanuel Adebayor to get back among the goals at Tottenham despite not yet playing a match this season.
The striker has not featured for Spurs since May, having been forced to train with the Spurs youth team for part of the campaign.
But Adebayor, who admits his career has hit rock-bottom, is now back with his senior team-mates and Walker has backed the 29-year-old to rediscover the form of previous years.
‘He is a fantastic player and he trains really hard,’ Walker said. ‘It’s not up to me to decide whether he plays or not: that is a decision for the manager. But we’re fully behind him and the manager.

‘You don’t play for Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid if you’re not a decent player. I believe fully in every striker we have at the club. Adebayor, Jermain Defoe, Harry Kane, who came on against Hull and scored.

‘It just takes time. The goals are going to come, most definitely. It’s just about being patient and if we keep clean sheets, we can’t be beaten so the worst we can do is draw.’
