Eric Bekoe breaks leg ahead of medicals in Finland

Berekum Chelsea striker Eric Bekoe has suffered a leg break while having his personal training at his childhood training field, the Kotobabi Park in Accra on Friday, Leviticus sports can reveal.
The 26-year-old who failed to land a deal with South African club Amazulu after undergoing trials few months ago had been excused to leave Berekum Chelsea pre-season camp ahead of a visa-seeking trip to Nigeria next Monday.
Bekoe returned to the Ghanaian top flight last year after abrogating his contract with Egyptian side Petrojet.
Confirming the news, Isaac Amponsah, the Public Relations Officer of the club tells GNA; "It is true Bekoe suffered the injury in his right leg while training at the Kotobabi Park today [Friday]. He is currently under treatment and we hope he recovers quickly to join us for the 2013/14 Premier League season.”
Chelsea’s PRO further confirmed the one-time capped Ghana international was preparing to leave for Nigeria for a Finnish visa ahead of a medical with an unnamed club in the European country.
“He was supposed to travel on Monday to Abuja for visa to Finland to do medicals and this unfortunate incident has happened,” Isaac Amponsah said.
