Eriksen, 21, has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the Amsterdam Arena, with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool thought to be interested in his services.
The Denmark international was an integral figure as Ajax secured their third consecutive Eredivisie title last season - totalling 10 goals and 17 assists - and has already found the net this term. scoring in the 3-2 defeat to AZ on Sunday.
Eriksen has rejected approaches from Russian clubs in the transfer window, but revealed that he could be tempted to make the switch to White Hart Lane.
"Tottenham are a great club," he told Danish newspaper BT.
"I know from (former Ajax team-mate Jan) Vertonghen that it is a good club, which is interesting. But there has not been any contact.
"There are Russian clubs who have called and made bids for me, but I did not think long before refusing.
"I want to play in one of the five major leagues."
Eriksen joined Ajax as a 16-year-old from Danish side OB and, although he admits he is eager to experience a new division, the playmaker is content to remain with Frank De Boer's side.
"I do not know if I am going to leave Ajax," he added. "We'll find out in two weeks.
"There are to my knowledge no negotiations right now either with a new club or Ajax.
"If there is a good approach (from another club), I
see it as an opportunity to try something new, but if nothing comes, I
do not mind staying."
