Porto looking forward to ´good tests´ in London

Porto head coach Paulo Fonseca says the Emirates Cup is 'key' preparation for his team ahead of the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League.

Fonseca, who replaced Vitor Pereira at Porto in June, believes playing the likes of Galatasaray and Napoli at the Emirates Cup in London will help the Portuguese club as they attempt to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League for the eighth time in 11 seasons.
Porto reached the round of 16 in the 2012/13 Champions League before being knocked out by Malaga but Fonseca wants to take the Liga Sagres champions further this season and says Saturday's clash with Galatasaray will give his team a taste of what to expect in the continental competition.
"We are looking forward to playing Galatasaray and Napoli, who often compete in the Champions League," Fonseca was quoted as saying by host club Arsenal's website.
"These games will be two good tests for us and our improvement as a team.
"We are aware of our potential in Europe but there other strong teams who can win it.
"But Porto competes for every title in every competition. That is the culture of this club."
Fonseca has taken over at Porto after leading Pacos de Ferreira to third in Liga Sagres last season.
Galatasaray defender Emmanuel Eboue said the Turkish champions 'respect' but are not 'scared' of Porto.
"We know them (Porto), they play very good football, we respect them, but every time when I speak, I'm never scared of any team," Eboue said.
Eboue added he was thrilled to be back in London at his former home and added Arsenal still has a special place in his heart after seven seasons with the English Premier League club.
"I'm so happy to come back here to play against my old team and my old team mates," Eboue said.
"So I hope that tomorrow and Sunday, the party's going to be nice, so I'm so happy to come back here to play."
