Arsenal In Advanced Talks With Real Madrid Over £40m Deal to Sign Mesut Ozil

Ozil has fallen out of favour at the
Santiago Bernabeu and Arsene
Wenger hopes to capitalise on
that by making a £40 million
move for the German play-maker.
Arsenal are in advanced talks
with Real Madrid over the
signing of German play-maker
Mesut Ozil, LEVITICUS SPORTS reports.
The Gunners are willing to break
their record transfer to land Ozil
and a £40 million fee is
reportedly on the table.
The German international has
fallen down the pecking order at
the Santiago Bernabeu and is
believed to be interested in a
move to the Emirates so that he
can play first team football in a
World Cup year.
Real Madrid are keen to offload
at least one midfielder before the
transfer window closes in order
to re-coup some money, with
Gareth Bale set to complete his
world record transfer to the
Santiago Bernabeu sometime on
Monday.
All the signs point to Ozil being
the player that is sold with Carlo
Ancelotti keeping the German on
the bench for Madrid’s game
against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
In addition to Ozil, Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger will
hope to add two more names to
his squad before the transfer
window closes, with one of
those players being Palermo
goalkeeper Emiliano Vivano, who
is set to move to the Emirates of
a season long loan.
