Manchester United boss David Moyes turned on the critics who have said the job is too big for him by insisting on Wednesday: ‘I will get it right’ after edging out Liverpool 1-0 in the third round of Capital One Cup, Mail Online reports.
Javier Hernandez scored the only goal of the game in the 46th minute, a crucial win Moyes believes will push them on.
I will fix it
-It, criticism, is not frustrating because I will sort it. I will fix it. I will turn it around. I have got no doubt about that. What have I learned? We have to improve. I am still getting to know the players, he fumed in a post match interview.
-There certainly was some relief as it was a big day for us. We lost at Anfield a few weeks ago; we had lost at the Etihad last week, so we wanted to put that right, he added.
Norwich City
-I thought it was a really good game, an exciting game of football from both teams. What was important was that the whole club showed we were hurt by the game on Sunday.
The Red Devils will now meet Norwich City in the fourth round of the competition as Arsenal meets London rivals Chelsea with Victor Wanyama's Southampton facing Sunderland among other fixtures.
