De Gea is close to signing a new contract with the club. De Gea has been linked with Barcelona.

But a 'source close to the player' is quoted in The Sun as saying: "David is happy in the Premier League and knows this is the season to really show what he can do.

"As for Barca, it'll be very tough for them to convince United to sell."
