UEFA Champions League Results - 1st Oct

Kevin-Prince Boateng, Adre Ayew, Jordan Ayew and Sulley Muntari who have all been named in coach Kwesi Appiah’s 25 man squad for Ghana’s game against Egypt were  involved in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Prince Boateng played the full game for Schalke against Basel in Group E. His side who were playing away won the game 1-0.

Adre Ayew was also involved for Olympique Marseille for the entire duration of their game. Marseille who were beaten by Arsenal in their opening fixture lost 3-0 on the road to last season’s Champions League finalist Borussia Dortmund. Jordan Ayew came on in the 81st minute from the substitute bench. Marco Reus’ strike was sandwiched between two Robert Lewandowski goals in the victory for Borussia Dortmund.

Sulley Muntari’s AC Milan had to rely on another very late goal to secure a point from their game against Ajax. Ajax scored the first goal of the game in the 90th minute but a penalty goal from Mario Balotelli in the fourth minute of additional time saved the Italian side from a defeat. Muntari played the full game for AC Milan.
