Kwadwo Asamoah and Franck Acheampong were involved Wednesday’s round of UEFA Champions League games but none of the two Ghanaians tasted victory on the night.
Asamoah started Juventus’ home game against Galatasaray whose new manager Roberto Mancini was taking charge of his first game at the club. Juventus went behind in the 36th minute by a Didier Drogba goal before two goals from Vidal and Quagliarella took them ahead.
Their lead lasted for just 71 seconds as Bulut’s goal ended the game at 2-2. Asamoah played in the entire duration of the game.
Franck Acheampong made a 74th appearance for Anderlecht when they were three goals down at home to Olympiakos. The Ghanaian couldn’t rescue his side from a second consecutive Champions League defeat as Mitroglou’s hat-trick crushed Anderlecht to a 3-0 home defeat.
