Liverpool have reportedly been put on high alert as PSG prepare to consider offers for Argentine international Javier Pastore according to Sports Direct News.
The 24 year old former Palermo man is unhappy with his limited role in first team affairs with Laurent Blanc selecting the playmaker as a starter in just five of the club’s 11 Ligue fixtures thus far this season and Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is just one of a number of interest parties monitoring Pastore’s situation.
Pastore’s agent Marcelo Simonian has talked up the possibility of an exit by stating;
“Football is made up of highs and lows. He [Pastore] has had some good moments here [at PSG]. But there is no place for nostalgia.
“We will see what happens over the coming months.”
Pastore was a regular in the PSG line-up in his first two seasons at the big spending French club, racking up 24 goals and 16 assists in 90 appearances in all competitions.
Rodgers may well see the rangy creative talent as an ideal player to link midfield and attack in the Liverpool side though PSG would presumably demand a fee similar to the £33m they forked out for the player back in August 2011.
