Jose Mourinho is a mysterious man but the Chelsea fans love him.
Mourinho was mostly praised as the ‘tactician’ for not selecting a
recognized centre forward in his starting 11 against Manchester United –
a decision that caused Roberto Di Mateo his job and would have put
Rafael Benitez’s head on the plate for slicing.
The boss in defending his decision made mockery of Fernando Torres
price tag in a way to insist the Spain international is doing what he
has to do at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho said:
“He scored the goal that won the Europa League. That means some
millions. He scored the goal against Everton that put Chelsea in the
Champions League. That also means some millions.
“It’s not really £50 million, maybe it’s 20 and a half. He is doing his job. He did it again.”
On his decision not to play a centre forward in the game against
Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday, Mourinho said ahead of the
game:
“I go for mobility, I want to come to try to win the game, but
instead of playing with one target man, I play with four attacking
players and we are going to try to create them problems.
“The results in the end will make the judgement – Jose was right or Jose was wrong.”
