Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been
ruled out of England's World Cup 2014 qualifier in Ukraine
on Tuesday with a thigh injury.
Sturridge, 24, returned to his club side for treatment before
Friday's 4-0 win against Moldova,
and has not recovered in time for the trip to Kiev.

Injuries to Wayne Rooney and Andy Carroll, plus the
suspension of Danny Welbeck,
had already left manager Roy Hodgson short of striking options.
No replacement will be called up.
Sturridge's withdrawal, after aggravating a thigh problem in last Sunday's victory against Manchester United, leaves Rickie Lambert and Jermain Defoe as the only available recognised front-men.
