Jose Mourinho has hit out at claims made by Tottenham Hotspur manager Andres Villas-Boas ahead of their game on Saturday.
Chelsea’s manager branded his former assistant a kid for his outburst at his press conference on Friday saying:
“I am not a kid. If I have a problem with someone I go upstairs, we speak and we have lunch. I miss my wife and kids when I came here at 7am, that’s it.
“I have played Champions League final [2010] against a manager who I greatly admire and respect and I did it in a professional way. If I am offered a glass of wine by a manager after a game I never refuse.”
The Portuguese also acknowledged the improvement in Tottenham’s squad ahead of the London derby. He continued:
“You win titles with squads not with an especially good player, so Tottenham are bigger contenders than before.”
