The Welshman refuses to be carried away by his excellent display in 7-3 Real Madrid win
Gareth Bale has vowed to keep improving his performance levels after he fired two goals in the Primera Division victory against Sevilla on Wednesday night.
The Welshman silenced his critics by scoring Real Madrid's first two goals in the 7-3 victory in which Cristiano Ronaldo fired a hat-trick and Karim Benzema added another two for Madrid.
Bale's first was a beautiful curled effort in the top corner while the second came from a free-kick, with the help of a deflection.
But Bale, who arrived at Madrid in the summer for a world record fee of £85.3million, refused to get carried away by his excellent performance and promised to keep improving.
"I felt good and I completed the whole game," Bale told realmadrid.com.
"I have to keep improving and working hard to be one hundred per cent as soon as possible.
"It was a great night and important to my fitness.
"We played very well and hopefully we will have more games like this in the future.
"Now I continue to improve and work hard and as soon as possible try to be one hundred per cent."
The former Tottenham winger was understandably pleased with his team's attacking display, which brings Madrid to 25 point, six points behind leaders Barcelona.
"It was a great game and a great atmosphere. We played very well and we got a lot of goals but the important thing is to have got the three points and we have scored many goals which is very positive for us," Bale added.
"The downside has been that we have received several goals, but we were good, it gives us confidence.
"We have a lot of confidence and hopefully we can keep winning and producing performances like tonight
