Bechem United signs veteran goalie Osei Boateng
Leviticus sports understands that former Asante Kotoko and Bibiani Gold Stars goalkeeper
Osei Boateng has signed for Premier League returnees Bechem United.
According
to our sources, Bechem United had shortlisted Boateng, former Hearts of
Oak and Black Stars goalier Sammy Adjei and former New Edubiase United
custodian Eric Nii Baah before plumping for Osei Boateng.
Boateng, now 32, played for Asante Kotoko in the 2002 African Cup
Winners Cup final against Wydad Casablanca, and he was also the first
choice goalkeeper as Ghana’s Black Starlets reached the final of the
1997 FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Egypt.
Leviticus sports can also confirm that Bechem United has also sealed the
captures of former King Faisal and Berekum Chelsea striker Prince Arko
and former Wa All Stars and Asante Kotoko attacker Daniel Bomfah, with
Heart of Lions forward Daniel Bonsu set to join them after his contract
with the Kpando-based club expires on August 23.
Leviticus sports sources also reveal that Richard Addae, who left the
club for Hearts of Oak last season, is back training with the club.
