Ghana close to securing Canada friendly next week                                                                                                                                       Information gathered by Leviticus sports has it that the Ghana Football Association is close to confirming Canada as opponents for the Black Stars in a friendly next week.                                                                                                                   August 14th 2013 is a FIFA friendly international day and it allows countries from all over the world to stage international friendlies against each other.Earlier reports in the local media indicated that the Black Stars were scheduled to play Iran on the said date in Portugal but due to lack of funds the Asians pulled out of the friendly.Leviticus sports checks reveal that the GFA is in advanced talks with the Canadian FA and the friendly match between both countries is expected to be announced close of the week.If the talks prove successful the international friendly match will be played in Toronto on August 14.The friendly will give head coach Kwesi Appiah and his technical team ample time to assess the squad as that will be the last match the team will play before entertaining former African Champions Zambia in a crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier in Kumasi on September 6.
