Results: Uefa Champions League

Arsenal 1-2 Borussia Dortmund - Henrikh Mkhitaryan opened the scoring for BVB before Olivier Giroud equalised, but the Polish striker had the final say with a late finish at the Emirates.

Robert Lewandowski's late goal condemned Arsenal to their first defeat since the opening day of the season in a 2-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Austria Vienna 0-3 Atletico Madrid
Three first-half goals ensured that the Rojiblancos made it three wins out of three as their fantastic European form continued. Atletico Madrid maintained their perfect start in Champions League Group G with a comfortable 3-0 win over Austria Vienna 3-0 on Tuesday.

Diego Costa, currently the subject of a row between Brazil and Spain over his international eligibility, scored a goal in each half after Raul Garcia had given Diego Simeone's side the lead in the eighth minute.

Schalke 0-3 Chelsea
The former Liverpool striker scored twice before Eden Hazard added extra gloss to the win in Gelsenkirchen late in the game. Fernando Torres starred with a double as Schalke were beaten 3-0 at home to Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Spain striker, making his 100th start for Chelsea, opened the scoring with an early header and was on target again in the second half to take his tally to five goals in his last five Champions League games.

And Eden Hazard put the icing on the cake with a third goal three minutes from time as Schalke pressed forward.

Jose Mourinho's side did not have things all their own way in Gelsenkirchen on Tuesday, but the victory ensured they are now joint top of Group E along with their German opponents.

Celtic 2-1 Ajax
A first half penalty from the Forrest was followed up by an own goal from Stefano Denswil to give Neil Lennon's men an emphatic win despite Nir Biton's sending off.

Celtic took all three points against Ajax with a 2-1 win at Parkhead in the Champions League. James Forrester gave Neil Lennon's men the lead with a first half penalty before Stefano Denswil turned into his own net to double the host's lead.

Celtic managed to hold on to the victory despite Nir Biton's second-half dismissal.

Olympique de Marseille 1-2 Napoli
The former Real Madrid attacker put the visitors ahead and the Colombian ensured Andre Ayew's late strike for Elie Baup's men was a consolation only.

Napoli kept their hopes of qualification for the Champions League knock-out stages intact with a 2-1 win at Marseille on Tuesday.

The Italian side headed into the game looking to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal in the previous round of Group F.

Marseille were without a point following losses against the Gunners and Borussia Dortmund, and their hopes of progression were dealt a further blow as Napoli cruised to a comfortable victory.

Former Real Madrid winger Jose Callejon and Colombian attacker Duvan Zapata put Napoli command, before Andre Ayew pulled one back for Marseille to set up a tense finish.

Napoli sit joint top of the pool on six points with Arsenal and Dortmund following the German side's 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium, but Marseille are well adrift at the bottom.

AC Milan 1-1 Barcelona
The Argentina international equalised Robinho's opener to save a point for the Catalans at San Siro on Tuesday. Lionel Messi struck a 24th-minute equaliser to earn Barcelona a 1-1 draw in their Champions League Group H clash with AC Milan at San Siro on Tuesday.

Robinho had given the hosts an early lead after taking advantage of a mishap in the Barcelona defence.

Steaua Bucharest 1-1 Basel
The Brazilian scored a late header to ensure the spoils were shared in Bucharest. Leandro Tatu's last-gasp equaliser earned Steaua Bucharest their first point of the Champions League campaign in a 1-1 draw with Basel.

A sublime strike by Marcelo Diaz opened the scoring for Basel shortly after half-time on Tuesday, and Steaua boss Laurentiu Reghecampf responded by making three substitutions in quick succession as the hosts searched for an equaliser.

The Romanian champions were rewarded when Leandro Tatu's diving header in the 87th minute flew into the top corner to earn them a well-deserved draw.

The result leaves Steaua on one point at the bottom of Group E, while Basel stay in third behind Chelsea and Schalke with four.

Porto 0-1 Zenit
The Russia international sealed three points for Luciano Spalletti's men as Hulk made his return to the Portuguese club where he made his name.

Ten-man Porto held on until late in the game as Aleksandr Kerzhakov sealed a 1-0 win for Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The forward's 86th-minute header was enough for the visitors, who laboured to take advantage of Porto playing much of the game a man down.

The hosts found themselves reduced to 10 men after six minutes of the Group G clash as Hector Herrera saw yellow twice in the space of a minute.

However, Zenit failed to make the extra man count for much of the game and, aside from a pair of Hulk chances in the second half, rarely threatened home goalkeeper Helton.

Porto more than held their own after the early setback, and twice hit the woodwork in a tie they arguably deserved to win. But the deadlock was finally broken four minutes from time as Kerzhakov sealed the three points for Luciano Spalletti's men.

The victory lifts Zenit to second in the pool, leapfrogging Porto in the process.
