"Ghana are favourites to beat Egypt but..." - Andre Ayew

Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew says Ghana is a better side than Egypt after arriving with 18 other members of the Black Stars ahead of preparations for the first leg World Cup qualifier on October 15.


The Marseille midfielder has hit a rich vein of form ,scoring two goals in his last three games for his club side.

“It will be a difficult game and we know what the Egyptians are capable of doing but  I believe we are playing in front of our home crowd.What is important is that Ghana gets  to the  World cup so at the end of whatever happens in Kumasi on Tuesday, we should know its not the end.It s a two game affair and we will be prepared for it”.

“We are the better side and we are the team who are favorites.if we play our football and everybody is in shape we wont have any problems.If the fans are as great as the last time we played against Zambia ,nothing will stop us”.

Andre arrived with younger brother Jordan who is making a return to the national team for the first time since a dispute with the technical team led to his temporary retirement.
