Gyan misses scoring boots in comeback
Ghana will be worried. Asamoah Gyan lost his scoring touch on Friday afternoon as his Arabian club Al Ain came from behind to record an away win.
The Ghanaian had 80 minutes of play time to emulate the brace he scored last week but couldn’t find the back of the net this time round.
Al Ain went down by a goal to home side Al Shaab in the 10th minute. The away side side recovered from their early deficit in the second half bagging the equalizer through M. Radoi in the 51st minute.
A second for Al Ain from Fares Juma gave Gyan’s side the lead before Michel Bastos added a third in the 83rd minute to give the away side a 3-1 victory.
Asamoah Gyan will be looking to find his scoring boots as he joins up with coach Kwesi Appiah’s squad for the game against Egypt on the 15 of October. Ghana will need a convincing win in the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium to eliminate unwanted doubts before travelling for the away tie and goals from our number one striker will be highly anticipated.
