Kevin Prince Boateng continued his hot scoring streak as he scored his third goal in five appearnces for Schalke in an entertaining 3-3 away to Hoffenheim.
Boateng who missed Schalke’s midweek cup win over Darmstadt opened the scoring in the third minute for the Royal Blues.Cameroon’s Joel Matip doubled the lead before Modeste pulled one back for Hoffenheim.Marco Hoger restored Schalke’s two goal advantage only for Firmimho to give Hoffenheim a fighting chance through a penalty.
Davis Abrahim restored parity in the 68th minute in a result that still leaves Schalke in the bottom rungs of the Bundesliga.
Kevin Prince Boateng’s form will however give Schalke manager Jens Keller hope ahead of their Champions League fixture on Wednesday.
