Arsenal and Manchester United continue to be big names in the January transfer rumor mill as always.
This week's latest rumor pits the two English Premier League clubs against current Spanish table toppers, Barcelona in a race for another one of Germany's prized young talents.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan appears the most recent target of choice for some of Europe's biggest clubs according to the Express.
The 23-year-old has been a first team regular for Jurgen Klopp's side since the age of 20 in 2011-12 when the side claimed the German double.
As his name continues to grow, he has been a much smaller part of Dortmund's new campaign having made only three appearances scoring one goal. Having made 81 appearances over the previous two campaigns, the young German international is believed to also be looking for a move.
With the Germans favored as one of the most likely to make a run for the World Cup in Brazil next summer, Gundogan knows that without regular playing time he will not be as important to his national team as he would like.
A move to England could see him have more playing time, especially at United rather than Arsenal because of the Manchester club's continued struggle for midfield quality as of late.
However, the allure of Barcelona and the Catalan way of footballing life is also a major draw, but could see him having to wait longer for his chance to shine
