Relations between Cristiano Ronaldo and Sepp Blatter were strained this week as a video featuring the FIFA president went viral shortly after being posted.
In the video, Blatter was asked his preference on Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Though he said that he couldn't choose, his actions proved otherwise. After praising Messi and somewhat strangely referring to him as a good boy on multiple occasions, he compared Ronaldo to a military commander and stood up to impersonate him.
Ronaldo responded to the video on Twitter by saying:
"This video shows the respect and consideration that FIFA has for me, my club and my country. Much is explained now.
I wish Mr.Blatter health and a long life, with the certainty that he'll continue to witness the successes of his favourite teams and players"
Sepp Blatter then responded to Ronaldo on Twitter apologizing for what he had done.
