Aduana Stars Head Coach J.E Sarpong says he will resign once the life patron and owner of the club returns from a trip abroad.
The former Liberty professionals Coach has come under fire in recent times following a string of patchy results by the club.
The 2010 League Champions are ninth on the League log having picked up three wins, two draws and three defeats. Wednesday’s home draw against AshantiGold made things worse for the former Accra Academy Sports master when fans of the club rained verbal assaults on him after the game at the Dormaa Park.
XYZ Sports investigations have revealed that the Dormaahene Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II is currently out of the country on an international mission abroad.
Tough talking J. E sarpong told XYZ Sports he can’t risk his life any longer because of a football team
“If I am the problem of Aduana Stars then I will have to go and have my peace” aggrieved Sarpong said in an interview with XYZ Sports.
“I wouldn’t stand at the point of death because of one team” he added
“I am just waiting for the Chief to come back from his trip abroad and then I tell him my peace of my mind and come to Accra”
“They have played together for four years and they know what to do as a traditional team. The players knew that this team can perform before they started the League so if victories are not forthcoming why the agitations?
“Last year AshantiGold beat them here 2-1 there was no agitation, Liberty also beat them in Accra 3-1 there was no agitation. So is it because it is Coach Sarpong?” he quizzed.
“AshantiGold have not lost a match and they are not a small team so if you play a draw with them I don’t see why they should be agitated”
“It’s all because some people are behind there trying to get rid of me”
“This is not the first time that I am going to leave a job halfway in the season and it’s very painful the way I am been treated”
“I am waiting for Nana to return, when he comes I will tell him that Nana thank you very much for offering me the job and then I quit”
