FIFA gives Dnipro and Red Star Belgrade 30 days to pay Kotoko
FIFA has issued a 30 day ultimatum to Dnipro Dnoprovetsk and Red Star Belgrade to pay outstanding debts owed to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The order came after the Porcupine Warriors reported the two clubs to football’s governing body following the delays in paying onward Kotoko’s part of the transfers of Inkoom to Dnipro and Nathaniel Asamoah to Red Star Belgrade.
Inkoom left Kotoko to Swiss side Basel in 2009 before earning a big money move to ambitious Ukrainian outfit Dnipro. Asamoah was transferred in 2012 for an unspecified amount and has since quit the Serbian outfit over unpaid wages.
Allsports understands that Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s management received notice on Thursday and will meet the board on Monday to discuss their next line of action.
