Ghanaian Players Abroad: Otoo, Assifuah, Adomah on target, Muntari warms bench

Goal brings you a round-up of performance of Ghanaian players abroad over the weekend - ENGLAND: Emmanuel Frimpong was once again missing in the Arsenal matchday squad as they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park. Derek Boateng was also not picked by the Cottagers for their trip to St. Mary Stadium where they were beaten 2-0 by Southampton.



In the N. Power Championship winger Albert Adomah Dankwah scored a double and made way in the 90th minute as Middlesbrough beat Doncaster Rovers 2-0 at the River Side. German-born Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp came into the game in the 86th minute as Leicester City beat Bournemouth 2-1.

Newly-signed midfielder Prince Abankwah Buaben was introduced into the game by Carlisle United in the 74th minute as they lost at home by 4-2 to Bristol City. Elsewhere, at the Plainmoor Ground, striker Patrick Agyemang played full throttle for Portsmouth who drew one-all with Torquay United in the League 2.

GERMANY
In the Bundesliga, midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng missed a penalty and was substituted in the 82nd minute as Borussia Dortmund thrashed Schalke 04 3-1 at home in the league top-liner.

In the Bundesliga II, left-back Baba Abdul Rahman watched the entire game from the bench as Greuther Furth lost 0-1 against relegation threatened Ingolstadt.

Italian-born Ghanaian right back Marcel Appiah was also a full timer at the Shuco Arena for Arminia Bielefied who lost 0-1 to Koln. Former Ashanti Gold striker Eric Agyemang was once again missing from the Bielefield team.

BELGIUM
In the Jupiler League, former Gomoah Fetteh Feyernoord skipper Nana Kwasi Asare played the entire duration for Gent who drew 1-1 with Cercle Brugge at home. At the Argos Oil Stadion, Jerry Vandam was a full timer for Mechelen whilst Abdul Yakinu Iddi was also introduced into the game in the 89th minute as they beat OH Leuven by four goals to two. Kpando Heart of Lions groomed Abraham Kudemor was not picked by Leuven for the trip.

In the division two, striker Kevin Tano was introduced in the 46th minute as his side Royal Antwerp were pipped by a lone goal at home to Boussou Dour Borinage. Bernard Kumordji played the last five minutes for Genk who defeated Club Brugge by two goals to nil. Enock Adu Kofi was an unused substitute for Brugge.

Daniel Opare was sent off for a second bookable offense in the 57th minute as Standard Liege played 1-1 away with Anderlecht. Winger Frank Opoku Acheampong played full time for the homeside.

NETHERLANDS
Youngster Shadrach Eghan was an unused substitute for FC Twente Enschede who lost 3-2 away to ADO Den Haag. At the Rat Verlegh Stadion, forward Jeffrey Sarpong scored in the 35th minute and lasted full time as Nac Breda hammered Go Ahead Eagles 5-0.

ITALY
Kwadwo Asamoah played 73 minutes for Juventus winning a penalty for his side and also setting up Carlos Tevez for the second goal as they defeated Genoa 2-0 at home. Isaac Cofie was on the Genoa bench. Joseph Alfred Duncan also played 53 minutes for Livorno who lost by a lone goal to Bologna. At the Stadio Fruili, midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played 90 minutes for Udinese who lost 1-0 at home to league leaders AS Roma.

Yussif Raman Chibsah was an unused substitute for Sassuolo who drew goalless away with Catania. Kingsley Boateng was not in the Catania match day squad. Both Sulley Muntari and Afriyie Acquah were unused substitutes for their respective clubs as AC Milan went down 3-2 to Parma.

Serie B
Nii Nortey Ashong came into the game for Spezia in the 79th minute as they beat Modena by two goals to one at the Stadio Alberto Picco. Amidu Salifu played full throttle for Modena whilst 16-year-old Prince Emmanuel Besea Duodu remained on the bench.

SPAIN
In the La Liga, striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was introduced into the game by Elche in the 56th minute as they lost 1-0 to Granada. Also, in the Segunda division midfielder Teye Partey played 73 minutes for Mallorca who lost by three goals to one to Recreativo Huelva.

FRANCE
At the Stade Velodrome, Olympique Marseille continued their poor form as Stade Reims beat them 3-2. Andre Ayew played full time whilst Jordan Ayew came on for Mathieu Valbuena in the 75th minute.

In the Ligue 2, striker Kwame Nsor came into the game in the 60th minute for Fauvergue as his side Metz beat Angers by one goal to nothing to open a two-point lead on top of the log. French-born Ghanaian midfielder Dennis Appiah also saw full action for Caen who lost by two goals to one at Stade Michel D Ornan.

DENMARK
Kevin Mensah scored a brace and played 83 minutes for Viborg who thrashed Vestsjaelland by four goals to one. His brother Jeff was not picked for the game. Kolja Afriyie also came into the game for Midjtjylland one minute after the break and were beaten 2-1 by Nordsjaelland.
NORWAY
Former Hearts of Oak striker Mahatma Otoo scored in the 2nd minute for Sogndal against Sandnes Ulf and played full time as they won 2-1. Adam Kwarasey was also in the post for Stromsgodset who beat IK Start 1-0. Winger Ernest Asante played 87 minutes for Start.

Striker King Osei-Gyan played 90 minutes for Viking who were beaten 3-1 at home by Aalesund. Ghanaian-born Swedish youngster Joseph Baffo also played the entire duration at the heart of defense for Valerenga who lost 2-1 at the Ullevaal Stadion to Haugesund.

SWEDEN
In the Allsvenskan, Ebenezer Ofori replaced Ibrahim Moro in 66th as AIK humiliated Brommapojkarna 6-0 at home. Swedish player of Ghanaian descent Robin Quaison came into the game 58th minute and scored the final goal in the 93rd minute.

Elsewhere, at the Rambergsvallen former Ghana national Under-17 striker Nasiru Mohammed lasted 82 minutes and made way for Williams as relegation threatened Halmstad pulled a surprise by defeating Hacken 3-1 away.

David Accam also played full time for Helsingborg who lose 3-2 at home to Kalmar, Emmanuel Boateng was introduced to the game by the home side in the 56th minute.

At the Tele2 Arena, the Stockholm derby saw Djurgarden drawing 1-1 with Gefle. Midfielders Yussif Chibsah Alhassan and Daniel Amartey played full time for Djurgarden whilst Adukor  came into the game in the 91st minute for Gefle.

Midfielder Mohammed Abubakari played full time and scored a winning goal as Atvidabergs were beaten 4-1 by relegation-bound Syrianska. Former Medeama midfielder Emmanuel Dogbe was an unused substitute for the losing side.

TURKEY
Jerry Akaminko played 90 minutes at the heart of defense for Eskisehirspor who humiliated Rizespor by four goals to one. In the Division Two, striker Kwame Amponsah Karikari came into the game in the 69th minute as his side Balikesirspor defeated Bucaspor 2-1.

Shaibu Yakubu also lasted 69 minutes for 1461 Trabzon and made way for Basaran as they drew goalless with Ankaraspor. Playmaker Torric Jebrin was not in the Trabzon match day squad.

Striker Emmanuel Banahene was also on target for Sanliurfaspor who defeated Gazientep BB by one goal to nothing at the Kamil Ocak stadium.

PORTUGAL

Alhassan Wakaso was an unused substitute for Rio Ave who lost 1-0 at home to Gil Vicente. Winger Haminu Draman was not in the match squad of the away side.

SWITZERLAND

Ebenezer Assifuah and Ishmael Yartey were on target for FC Sion who beat Grasshoppers by two goals to nothing. Yartey lasted the entire duration whilst Assifuah was replaced in the 75th minute. Striker Samuel Afum played 60 minutes for Young Boys Bern who defeated Aarau 3-0.

SOUTH AFRICA
Former Ashanti Gold striker Mohammed Yakubu was on target for Maritzburg who beat Amazulu 2-0. Awal Mohammed played full time for the winning side whilst midfielder Sarfo Gyamfi also lasted 73 minutes.

Daniel Agyei was also in post for Free State Stars who were beaten 2-0 by Wits University. Both Edwin Gyimah and John Arwuah played 90 minutes for their clubs as SuperSports drew 1-1 at home with Bloemfontein Celtic.
