Brilliant Arsenal, Disappointing Liverpool – Ratings & Review

Having lost 2 ofRamsey vs Liverpool Goal their last three games at the Emirates, many doubted Arsenal against an in-form Liverpool side who had a complete week’s rest.
However, the gunners produced a fantastic performance to prove the doubters wrong and go 5 points clear at the top of the premier league.
Reds had to deal with a major setback as Glen Johnson missed out and young Flanagan started as right wing back. Nevertheless, he was decent in the first half, the major damage was being done at the other end where Cissokho was ripped apart.
Arsenal dominated on all fronts and it was a matter of time they scored as Cissokho was nowhere to be found on the left and Cazorla made sure he scored from his second attempt, volleying in the empty net.
Coutinho was brought for Cissokho in the second half but Rodgers altered the formation to an unlikely 4-4-2. Brazilian did okay returning from injury. Arsenal were growing in confidence and so was their star player this season, Ramsey.
The Welshman struck a screamer that even an in-form Mignolet had no chance to even touch.
Liverpool defenders were able to stop Arsenal quite a few times, the real damage was done in the midfield where Reds completely lost the battle. Gerrard and Lucas were awful.
Sturridge and Suarez were kept quiet for most part of the game by impressive Koscielny and Mertesacker. The Uruguayan did cause some havoc and had a few chances but could not find the net.
Rodgers made offensive changes while Wenger made defensive ones and in the later stages of the game Reds did mount pressure but again in vain on a day where nothing was going right for Liverpool.
Overall, Arsenal were brilliant, Liverpool were disappointing. Here are the Player Ratings.
