Sunday's 'Super Clash' is the biggest event this weekend in Ghana, as
the long-established between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko continues.
It's the main attraction when the fixtures are released and both sides
with 42 top-flight titles between will have a go at each other when
referee Samuel Sukah gets the action underway at the Accra Sports
Stadium in a game that can be seen live on SuperSport channel SS9 (1500
GMT).
There is nothing to choose between them as the two men leading the
battle, David Duncan of Hearts of Oak and Kotoko's Didi Dramani prepare
for their third 'Super Clash' meeting.
After winning their opening games, the two sides, who last season drew
over both legs will be eager to extend their winning start.
"We are pegged at the same level of confidence. I think
perhaps even ours is much higher because we won by 2 goals without reply
and they won by 2-1. From that perspective, I think it
serves as a very good boost for us," the Hearts of Oak coach said.
In a fixture which in recent times tends to end in a draw, a win for
either side will be a big psychological boost in the title race.
Despite the fixture dominating the media, there are other key battles on Sunday.
Ebusua Dwarfs, who are on the same points, 3 apiece with Hearts of Oak
and Kotoko will be looking to continue their good start when they
welcome premiership returnees, Hasaacas to the Robert Mensah Stadium.
At the T&A Park, title contenders, Medeama will take on newly
promoted Bechem while King Faisal play Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara
Stadium.
AshantiGold will clash with Liberty Professionals at the Len Clay
Stadium with Inter Allies visiting the Agyemang Badu Park as guest of
Aduana Stars.
New Edubiase will make the journey to Wa where they play Wa AllStars to wrap up the games.
